This page provides a summary of the standard MCCore Technologies Business Associate Agreement. The complete, legally binding BAA is executed directly between MCCore Technologies and the Covered Entity (your organization).
As a Business Associate, MCCore Technologies complies with the applicable provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH), and their implementing regulations.
MCCore will only use or disclose Protected Health Information (PHI) as permitted by the executed BAA or as required by law. We process PHI solely to provide operational, communication, and management services as outlined in your enterprise agreement.
MCCore implements administrative, physical, and technical safeguards that reasonably and appropriately protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the electronic PHI that we create, receive, maintain, or transmit on behalf of the Covered Entity.
In the event of a suspected or actual breach of unsecured PHI, MCCore Technologies will notify the Covered Entity without unreasonable delay, in accordance with the HIPAA Breach Notification Rule, and will cooperate with the Covered Entity's investigation.
MCCore ensures that any subcontractors that create, receive, maintain, or transmit PHI on our behalf agree to the same restrictions, conditions, and requirements that apply to MCCore with respect to such information.
